American jockey Erik Barbaran goes six from six at Mountaineer Park
‘The Barbarian’ (if that’s not his nickname, it should be) kicked things off with Golden Treasury ($3) in race two, before notching up an early double with victory aboard Lucky’s Fantasy ($1.80) in the third.
* American odds (quoted below) are based on a $2 stake.

Barbaran had to wait until race six for his next ride but the little freshen-up clearly did him a world of good, taking out the remaining four races aboard Morgan’s David ($1.50), Nocturnal Q ($3.50), Siegfreedroesch ($1.90), and Frozen Princess ($5.80).
Barbaran’s riding feat was followed by Victorian hoop Linda Meech putting on a riding clinic of her own at Kilmore on Thursday, notching up four winners and two seconds from six rides.
